Cleethorpes has some fabulous places to eat and drink – I may have mentioned this once or twice before! Restaurants, cafes and bars that are super stylish with Instagrammable interiors, cool cocktails and delicious dishes.

Relish Bar & Kitchen is certainly one of them.

Earlier on this year, a group of local residents took over the restaurant, and you can really feel that touch throughout your visit. The menus introduce the new owners, telling you all about their passion for the food they serve, the atmosphere they want to create and their connection to Cleethorpes. As someone who’s all for championing North East Lincolnshire, I absolutely love it.

It’s small and rustic with views of the beautiful seaside from the tables in the window.

Just imagine this when the sun is setting… wonderful!

Stuffed Chicken with Apple and Cider Sausage Meat, Pan Fried Sea Bass and Pan Roasted Salmon, Homemade Angus Steak Burgers and 10oz Rib Eye Steaks, and a whole selection of Pasta!

For us, it was the Rich Beef Ragu Bolognese and Linguine with Shaved Pecorino and Wild Rocket…

… and Mushroom Tagliatelle – Wild Mushrooms cooked in a creamy Gorgonzola and Marsala Sauce, topped with Wild Rocket and toasted Pine Nuts, drizzled with Truffle Oil.

So, so good.

And, served with a shared side of Garlic Bread, of course!

Everything is just so fresh and flavoursome – and incredibly filling! I didn’t have room for dessert but if I did, it would have to have been the salted caramel chocolate tarte or white chocolate brownie – the more chocolately¬†and gooey, the better! I’ll definitely be leaving room next time.
