Sometimes, when the sun is shining and it’s hot outside, you just want a nice, cool, refreshing drink of something fizzy, but we all know that water is best thing for you – for many reasons. The problem is, it can be a little boring, especially when your mind is telling you to want a glass of lemonade or coca-cola.
Fruit infused water, or detox water, is the perfect way to add a bit of excitement to your daily water intake, while adding extra nutrients in the process – and it’s so easy to make. You simply fill a glass, bottle or jug two-thirds full of water, slice up some fruit and add a couple of sprigs of fresh herbs and voila! You have a healthy, refreshing drink that’s good for both your skin and your body.
You can pick and choose which fruits and herbs you would like to include in your detox water, but here are a couple of recipes for you to try.

Strawberries, as well as being terribly sweet, contain antioxidants which are said to protect against inflammation, and can aid digestion and skin irritations. Plus, they are full of Vitamins C and K, making them a great addition to detox water. Cucumber and apples are too a good source of Vitamin C, which helps your immune system, just like oranges which are renowned for their high levels of Vitamin C. Oranges, lemons, limes and mint are also said to be good for digestion, helping to process fat – and a healthier digestive system will lead healthier looking skin too.
In addition to experimenting with flavours, you can choose how long you’d like the fruit water to infuse, giving a stronger, or weaker, taste.
