Seaside Afternoon Tea at Oaklands Hall Hotel. Yellowbelle Lincolnshire Lifestyle Blog.

It seems that, in recent years, more and more restaurants have embraced one of Britain’s most quintessential rituals and introduced Afternoon Teas to their menus – and it’s so easy to see why! Dining on sweet little sandwiches served on chintzy plates and super dreamy mini desserts feels like such an elegant way to spend an afternoon, especially when accompanied by a glass of prosecco and elderberry (or three…).

Now, I know it’s been a little while since I last blogged but I just HAD to make a return for Afternoon Tea Week, because I know there are some wonderful Afternoon Tea experiences in our little corner of Lincolnshire. On this list, there are some Teas that I have had the absolute pleasure of enjoying myself, and others that have caught my eye and are now firmly on my to-try list, from the classic to the down-right dirty.

Enjoy!

Seaside Afternoon Tea, The Comfy Duck

Whenever I see something seaside inspired, I instantly feel drawn to it (thanks, Cleethorpes!), which is why I couldn’t wait to give this a try. The Seaside Afternoon Tea from The Comfy Duck is just wonderful! There’s hot dogs, fish ‘n’ chips, quiche and broth, with candy floss and jelly, doughnuts and a cheesecake ‘ice-cream’ for dessert – all of the classic treats from the British coast in one  beautiful, super Instagrammable Afternoon Tea. Have a read.

Ploughman’s Picnic, Gallagher’s Cafe and Cakery

Who doesn’t love a picnic? Relaxing in the park or on the beach, soaking up the sunshine with some good food… I think that’s why this new Afternoon Tea from Delilicious caught my eye on Instagram; a mini picnic table of pork pie, cheese, roasted ham, crusty bread, more little sides and, of course, cake!

Burger Royal Tea, 0North

That’s right, an ‘Afternoon Tea’ of sloppy Burger Sliders and all the essentials – rosemary & sea salt chips, messy BBQ Ribs and sweet & sticky chicken wings with Mac ‘n’ Cheese, coleslaw and Boston Beans – it just looks like one big feast and it’s fantastic! Just look at it!

Afternoon Tea, Petit Delight

Petit Delight’s Afternoon Tea has been popular in Cleethorpes for years now.  As well as finger sandwiches and quiche, there’s croque-monsieur and filled savoury croissants, which is followed by a selection of miniature desserts. It really is a pretty, classic Afternoon Tea.

Bespoke Afternoon Tea, Waltham Kitchen

That’s right, Waltham Kitchen will create an Afternoon Tea especially for you, and the only way to have one is to book and request it in advance! All of the food is freshly made, and you can see an example of one on Instagram.
