Letter from the editor post, YellowBelle

Hello readers!

It’s been a while since Yellowbelle has been updated, (a little over three months in fact), but I would just like to say a massive thank you to all of you for reading and supporting this little Lincolnshire lifestyle site. It is something I had been planning for a long time, and something I was eager to get started and build, but, unfortunately, as is often the case, blogging had to take a back seat while I had to concentrate on other areas in my life.

Back in September 2013, I began my career as a freelance copywriter, writing blogs, articles, newsletters for businesses in and around North East Lincolnshire, and I am very fortunate to say that I became busier and busier. But as many self-employed business people will say, it is easy to forget about the things that you do for yourself and concentrate solely on your day-to-day business. It has also taken a lot of time to get my head around being self-employed; quoting, invoicing, keeping track of accounts, networking, actually doing the work…

However, the Christmas break allowed me to have a serious think about what direction I want my career to progress in, and after a lot of to-ing and fro-ing, one thing became clear… I missed blogging! Back in 2010, when I started The LC Issue, I was constantly taking photos, saying ‘ I want to blog about this!’, and I am ready to get back right back into the thick of it!

Don’t get me wrong, I still have a LOT to learn and a lot to master when it comes to business, but I feel as though I am in a good place to carry on and resume blogging.

I know there are a handful of people who spent their own time on Yellowbelle, contributing articles and supporting with emails, shares, likes, tweets, etc., so to them I would like to say thank you, I am incredibly grateful and I promise it is not time wasted!

I am now ready for an all new, fresh-looking, Yellowbelle, and ready to bring you blogs about my Lincolnshire life.

Thank you!

Editor, Yellowbelle.
