Last weekend, a selection of North East Lincolnshire’s boutiques and businesses came together to showcase their offerings in a brand new lifestyle and shopping event, the very first Female Live.
It was a glorious, sunny day in Cleethorpes…
… and the Ballroom of Cleethorpes Pier was ready to play host.
If you haven’t paid a visit since its incredible refurbishment, then you must! It is absolutely beautiful inside, and it’s officially the National Pier of the Year for 2016.
Female Live was created by The Grimsby Telegraph and The Journal, who are launching a brand new glossy magazine for women very soon. The event aimed to give guests a new shopping experience, whilst raising money for a very worthy cause.
Local boutiques showcased the clothing and accessories from their own stores on the catwalk, and artists and musicians entertained the guests too. Angelique Lansley, an Arbonne Independent Consultant, teamed up with the Lincolnshire Beauty Therapy, Hair & Make Up Academy to launch Arbonne’s new anti-aging device, Genius Ultra, and to give a How To masterclass in contouring and applying your make-up.
Anne Winslow was there to give a little taster of her relaxation and mindfulness sessions (and even won a little prize!)
Guests could browse the stalls of the local retailers and businesses, which ranged from health and weight-loss services to clothing boutiques and Wig Hair Design.
One of the exhibitors was silversmith Tracey Walsh, who brought along her line of signature bangles, rings, necklaces and cuffs – Silver Boo. Each piece is handcrafted, created from ethically sourced silver from the UK, and is Hallmarked. Some items are made with precious and semi-precious stones too.
And Mojo Vintage were here with a stall full of vintage jewellery. Look out for them at the upcoming Armed Forces Day event, where they’ll have a special collection of Poppy broaches.
All money raised at Female Live is being donated to Women’s Aid North East Lincolnshire, so look out for the total which will be announced soon. Keep up to date with the new magazine on the brand’s Facebook page.
